Do I Need a Tourist Visa for Oman?

Most international visitors need a tourist visa to stay in Oman for longer than 14 days. Only 5 countries enjoy freedom of movement in Oman: Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Single-entry Oman tourist visa

Multiple-entry Oman tourist visa

This visa allows for multiple entries during a one-year period. Each stay may be up to 30 days and it cannot be extended.

Single-entry Oman tourist visa for GCC residents

This special tourist visa for travelers who have a GCC residence card is valid for a single entry of up to 28 days. It can be extended once for up to 7 days.

A tourist visa for 10 days costs five rials (US$12) or a month for 20 rials ($52).

A multiple-entry visa costs 50 rials (US$130) and it’s valid for one year. If you are arriving from the Emirate of Dubai or from Qatar to Oman bearing a tourist entrance visa or a stamp from either country, you’re not required to obtain a separate visa for Oman provided you travel directly from Dubai or Doha to Oman. Application Foreign travelers who wish to visit Oman for tourism purposes should request an eVisa for Oman to travel to and within the country. The eVisa for Oman The Oman eVisa, an Electronic Travel Authorization, was launched in March 2018 to simplify the process of obtaining a Tourist visa to visit the country.

The eVisa for Oman allows eligible citizens to enter and travel around Oman. Oman offers different types of eVisa: Single entry visa, valid for a stay of up to 30 days Single entry visa for GCC residents, valid for a stay of up to 28 days Multiple entry visa for 1 year, valid for a total combined stay of 30 days Passports must be valid for at least six months from the arrival date. Applicants can obtain a valid Electronic Travel Authorization for Oman by completing the eVisa online application.
