About Melekeok
Melekeok is one of the 16 states of Palau, situated on the eastern coast of the nation's largest island, Babeldaob. In 2006, the seat of government was moved here from the bustling hub of Koror to a grand complex called Ngerulmud. Despite its status as the administrative heart of the country, Melekeok remains a tranquil, sparsely populated sanctuary defined by its pristine beaches, mangrove forests, and traditional Palauan customs.
